New software helps grid operators optimize grid planning and make better investment decisions

Gothenburg, June 2, 2026

Global investments in power grids need to reach a staggering USD 800 billion annually in order to meet climate targets. In the middle of this global race, Swedish company Endre Technologies has identified a niche that is attracting major investors. Built on leading Swedish and American research, the company is now set to scale its platform for data-driven grid planning.

In an oversubscribed pre-seed round, Endre Technologies has raised SEK 7 million, led by Almi Invest and Chalmers Ventures, with participation from Västkustens Affärsänglar (Vastaf) and IDA InWest.

The company develops software for data-driven power grid planning that helps grid operators and property developers forecast future electricity demand, analyze grid capacity, and make better decisions regarding investments and grid connections.

“We are not just selling software, we are selling speed. In a world where industries are forced to wait years for grid connections, and where existing software solutions are slow, complex, and difficult to use, Endre combines simplicity with extremely powerful analytics. Demand is growing faster than we can keep up with, and this funding will help us accelerate both sales and product development, ultimately benefiting everyone,” says Elias Bernerskog, CEO of Endre Technologies.

As industries, transportation, and buildings become increasingly electrified, the pressure on power grids is growing rapidly. At the same time, new power tariffs and regulatory requirements are making grid planning more complex. Grid investments often need to be planned many years in advance, while future energy demand is evolving quickly and remains difficult to predict.

Endre’s platform combines grid data, societal data, and scenario modeling to simulate how new districts, industries, and energy systems will impact electricity demand over time. The solution enables users to:

  • automate analysis and reporting

  • forecast future power demand and investment needs

  • reduce uncertainty in grid connection processes

  • make faster and more accurate decisions regarding grid expansion

The numbers already speak for themselves. During the first four months of this year alone, sales more than doubled. In a project with Mölndal Energi Nät, the technology demonstrated that peak power demand for a new urban district could be reduced by nearly 30 percent. For utility companies, this means savings of millions, while electricity consumers benefit from lower grid fees and faster connections.

The company is built on more than 20 years of research in energy systems analysis and power grid modeling from Chalmers University of Technology and Berkeley Lab in California. The founding team combines deep technical expertise with experience in commercialization and international scaling within the energy sector.

“The electrification transition cannot move forward without stronger power grids. Endre combines deep energy systems expertise with modern software and addresses a rapidly growing market need. The company’s early customer value and growth make it highly interesting,” says Patrik Sjöstrand, Investment Manager at Almi Invest.

“Chalmers Ventures has supported Endre all the way from lab to market, and we are impressed by how the team has transformed its technology into a real business. Endre’s data-driven foundation and deep domain expertise create a unique position going forward. We look forward to the next stage together with the team and the new investors,” says Oskar Svarfvar, Investment Manager at Chalmers Ventures.
